ITF DG COMMENDS NASARAWA STATE SKILLS ACQUISITION SCHEME

 

Chief Executive Officer of the Industrial Training Fund, Professor Longmas Sambo Wapmuk, OON has expressed readiness to partner with the Nasarawa State Government on human resource development. Professor Wapmuk gave the assurance during a courtesy call on the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Aliyu Akwe Doma in Government House, Lafia.

 

The ITF helmsman noted with satisfaction the State Governments skills acquisition programme, saying he was impressed with what he saw at the training centres in Doma and Lafia.

 

He went further to state that one of the greatest challenges of Governance is human capital development and commended the Governor for the initiative, saying this will go a long way in reducing poverty and unemployment in the state, and assured that the Industrial Training Fund would be favourably disposed to support the Nasarawa State Government in the area of technical vocational training and advisory services.

 

In his response, Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma (Madaucin Doma) expressed satisfaction with the visit, assuring that his doors are always open to any organization or individuals who wish to partner with the Nasarawa state Government in the task of Governance.

 

The Governor solicited ITFs assistance and guidance on how best to run the affairs of the skills acquisition programme for optimum productivity. He equally used the opportunity to re-affirm his administrations commitment to turn around the economic fortune of the State.
