PROs BENEFIT FROM JBS TRAINING

Buoyed by the need to arm its Public Relations Department with requisite skills in order for them to cope with the challenges of modern public relations, the Industrial Training Fund recently sponsored 21 of its workforce for a three day course in effective communication at the Jos Business School (JBS).

 

Declaring the course opened, the Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Associate Professor Longmass Wapmuk, charged the staff to turn around public relations in the Fund by putting to use what would be imparted to them at the seminar. Wapmuk said the ITF was desirous of a good image and urged the participants whom he described as ‘very qualified people that can stand their own anywhere’ to brace up themselves for the challenges ahead.

 

The DG commended the President of Jos Business School (JBS), Mr. Ezekiel Gomos, for establishing such an institution in Jos noting that as a cosmopolitan with the presence of several companies, it was only proper for city to have such an establishment. He expressed the desire of the ITF to partner with the institution and stressed that would be beneficial to both institutions.

 

In his remarks, President of Jos Business School (JBS), Mr. Ezekiel Gomos, said the training was part of a series of partnerships entered into with the ITF. He said the collaboration would be beneficial to both institutions as it would aid them to reach their goals.
