ARI JOINS NIPR COUNCIL

Head of Public Relations, Publicity and External Relations Unit, Sir Joseph Ari, has been elected member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Sir Ari, who is a Fellow of the Institute, was elected recently at the 2009 Annual General Meeting/National Public Relations Conference of the Institute held from 30th November to 2nd December 2009 at Glory Land Cultural Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State in a keenly contested election.

He emerged winner with the second highest number of votes cast in the entire election, representing 86% of the total votes beating other contestants.

With this victory, Fellow Ari joins 16 other eminent PR professionals also elected to form the new Governing Council of the Institute in Nigeria for the next two years.

The newly elected National President/Chairman of the Governing Council is a distinguished Fellow of the Institute, Alhaji Mohammed Ahmed Abdullahi, a Permanent Secretary with the Bauchi State Government.
