DEJI OF AKURE COMMENDS ITF

The Deji of Akure land, Oba Oluwadare Adesina Adepolu the Osupa III has commended Industrial Training Fund (ITF) for contributing to the intellectual growth of Nigeria. He specifically lauded the Fund’s efforts in availing those who seek skills that would make them self reliant.

The Royal Father, who stated this when he received management of Akure Area Office of the  Industrial Training Fund in his Palace recently, also urged the  ITF not to rest on its oars and work towards creating awareness using the  Newspapers, Radio and Television so that the rural population would be kept abreast of its activities.

Earlier in his speech, the Area Manager, Babatunde Asaju praised the Deji for fostering peace in his domain and the country in general. He said Industrial Training Fund was established in 1971 under decree NO. 47 with the sole objective of promoting and encouraging training in Industry and Commerce with a view to generating a pool of indigenous trained manpower for the Nigerian Economy.

Asaju solicited for patronage not only from the public and private sectors but also from traditional institutions, as according to him the ITF was positioned to provide appropriate Human Resource Development interventions for enhanced job performance and efficiency in all sectors of the Nigerian Economy.
