I”LL CARRY EVERYBODY ALONG - WAPMUK

The Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Associate Professor Longmas Wapmuk, has assured that no member of the ITF workforce would be left out in the running of the affairs of the Fund.

Wapmuk who gave this assurance in an address to staff during an interactive forum with Headquarters’ staff, Area Managers and Training Managers appealed to staff of the Fund to accept him into what he called the ‘ITF family’. Stressing that ‘a tree cannot make a forest’, he said he required the support of staff of the Fund for him to realize his vision for the organization.

The DG further stated that he would implement the ITF mandate as contained in the enabling decree as well as all the reform programmes embarked upon by the present regime noting that the various committees that were constituted towards the actualization of these reforms had already submitted their reports.

Appreciating the role of staff motivation to organizational performance he pledged to look into the issue of accumulated promotions and accordingly promote those that merit it just as he promised that would continue with what had been on ground in terms of the welfare packages.

Prof. Wapmuk warned staff against petition writing, gossips and rumour mongering as they are capable of ruining the image of the Fund. Rather than immerse themselves into such retrogressive acts, he exhorted them to imbibe the virtues of punctuality, and hard-work, while seeking redress through proper channels for their grievances.
