ARI, 4 OTHERS INDUCTED AS
NIPR FELLOWS |

The
Head Public Relations and Publicity Unit, Mr. Joseph Ari
and four others were recently inducted as fellows of the Nigeria Institute of
Public Relations. Other inductees during the occasion that took place at the city
Hall in Lafia, Nasarawa
State Capital were, Senator Joseph Waku, Professor John Sambe,
Mallam Haroun Audu and Mr. Peter Oyeneye. |

Induction was conducted by President of the Institute, Professor Ikechukwu Nwosu. |

Congratulating
the new fellows, the Chairman Board of Fellows, Mr. Frank Tamuno
Koko described the fellowship which is the highest
position that can be aspired to in Public Relations as NIPR’s
equivalent of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) that is normally conferred
on Lawyers. He said the award came with some challenges which include the
maintenance of the highest Professional standards and upholding of the ethics.
He warned the new fellows that the fellowship remained the property of the
NIPR and would be withdrawn in the event of misdemeanour. |

Speaking
on behalf of the new fellows, Sir Joseph Ari said
the investiture marked the dawn of a new era in public relations practice as
the fellows would work with the leadership towards the attainment of the two
guiding principles of PR practice- professionalism and excellence. |

|
Ari
stated that the investiture for him was significant as it coincides with the
ITF Management’s new vision of re-branding and repositioning of the Fund’s
activities. He said when these plans yield results; the Organised Private Sector
and other employers of labour would have greater value for their investment
in ITF. |
