ITF REWARDS EXCELLENCE

As the Fund winds up its activities for the 2007 training year, contributing employers and some members of staff have been rewarded for their outstanding performance. In his address at the 2007 end of year review and award ceremony, ITF Director-General Prof. Longmas S. Wapmuk, said the ceremony serves to motivate beneficiaries to greater heights of excellence and to challenge others that did not win to thrive harder. It is also a reminder that hard work, commitment to duty and distinctive performances hardly ever pass unnoticed and indeed will always be rewarded, he emphasized.

Apapa Area Office emerged overall best, followed by Abeokuta and Ilorin Area Offices. In the Training Centres category, ISTC Kano topped the list, while ISTC Ikeja placed second. The individual awards were clinched by Mrs. Fatima Usman in category ‘A’; Mohammed D. Misau, Gabriel Oladimeji, Umar Zayyad and Habila A. Abdullahi for categories ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’ and ‘E’ respectively. Also rewarded as best contributing employer in Jos zone was Grand Cereal and Oil Mills, while a host of other staff bagged long service awards.
