ITF INTRODUCES NEW MODE OF SIWES PAYMENT

To improve on the old mode of payment of SIWES allowances to students and institutions, and also in line with the new policy of the Federal Government, the Director-General has directed that “henceforth the disbursement of allowances to SIWES students shall be strictly by e-payment (electronic payment system)”.

In a memo conveying this directive to Area Managers, the Director, Field Services Department, Mr. Tim I. Omoruyi said, “no cash pay shall be made by any Area Office to any Institution or student for any SIWES year except by e-payment”

Mr. Omoruyi said all institutions must submit their lists on-line through www.siwesdata.org, print their list from the same website, stamped, signed and forwarded to the relevant authourities before e-payment is effected.

The memo warns that any Area Manager who violates this directive, violates Federal Government policy and will be disciplined accordingly.
