Restating his commitment to capacity building
in the state, Gov. Shinkafi said rapid
proliferation of challenges in the financial sector calls for training and
retraining of financial officers, arguing that the realization of the
expected dividends of democracy depends largely on prudent allocation and
management of financial resources. The control of the financial resource of
the state, according to him required strategic, reflective reasoning and
necessary skills. |

Earlier in a welcome address, ITF Chief
Executive, Professor Longmas Sambo
Wapmuk observed that the Industrial and agro-allied
sectors of the state can only be nurtured by a civil service manned by
skilled and committed personnel and this puts a lot of premium on human
capital development. To this extent, he offered to lend the experience and
expertise in vocational and apprentice training to strengthen the 20 skills
acquisition centres and enhance their effectiveness
in the state. |
